Baobab Youth Performers, in partnership with Young Voices Can! is offering sessions of drumming and dialogue that take place between the end of March and mid-May in the Wellington W neighbourhood, bringing together youth in the City of Ottawa that that may not typically interact. The culminating public celebration will take place on Thursday May 25 from 7:30-9pm at Ashbury College 362 Mariposa Ave. hosted by Young Voices Can! Join us for performances, reflections and snacks. $10 suggested donation at the door. This Project is generously supported by:

Footsteps to Ghana 2017
In July, members of Baobab Youth will travel to Ghana to study with Kwasi Dunyo and take in the amazing culture of Ghana!
August 14-18, 2017 from 9am-4pm
Location: Baobab Community Space, St George’s Church 415 Piccadilly Ave, Ottawa (Island Park & Wellington)
Activities include: West African drumming, singing, movement, visual art and cultural exploration. The week culminates in a food and performance celebration! We only hold camp one week in the summer so we put all our energy into creating a very special week!
Cost $225 (includes instruments and supplies)
